Carl Zeiss Hologon T* 16mm f8
The
16mm ultra wide-angle lens is the revival of a masterpiece of lens design
invented by Dr.Erhard Glatzel. The Hologon is a simple configuration of five
elements in three groups, providing almost completely distortion free images
despite its 106 degrees angle of view.
It is constructed quasi-symmetrically. The Carl Zeiss unique lens design to reduce the distance from the rear of the lens to the film plane enhanced the improvement of the contrast of this lens.
The Hologon T* 16mm f8 lens is provided with an exclusive viewfinder with a built-in water level, mountable on the accessory shoe of the camera body. A special 4X gradation filter is also supplied to minimise the effect of light fall off due to a decrease in relative illuminance in the corners of the image field.
