The Black G2 is a phantom, no more. Contax has introduced a kit that includes all black components, including a G2 body, Carl Zeiss T* Biogon 28mm f2.8, Carl Zeiss T* Planar 45mm f2, Carl Zeiss T* Sonnar 90mm f2.8, and a TLA200 Flash.
The G2 now sports a black finish in the same material as the black SLR bodies. We have added this black finish because of a very high demand from our professional users. Black cameras are often more than a fashion statement. Pros like them for their low, almost hidden profile.
This kit is very limited as to quantity. There are no plans to produce the remaining lenses such as the T* Hologon 16mm, T* Biogon 21mm and T* Planar 35mm f2 in the black finish.
